What are the ingredients of Tapioca pearl (boba)?
The Pearls we carry (My daughter and my favorite) are made in Taiwan. The ingredients:
Tapioca Starch, Water, Cellulose Gum, Caramel, Natural flavor, Preservatives
All ingredients are commonly used by the food industry in the US (besides Tapioca starch).
But this product is processed in a facility that processes Soy, Peanuts, Milk Products and Tree Nuts. We can not guarantee there has been no cross contamination 😅
Why do Boba balls crumble easily?
The original Tapioca pearl is made by rolling a tiny tapioca ball in the flour, just like a small snowball getting big by rolling in the snow. So the boba ball is firm but not hard. It will crumble if mashed or crushed.
So handle with care please 😊
Why Tapioca pearl need so much time to cook?
The pearl balls make with tapioca starch without chemical softeners need a longer time to cook because the special characters of the starch.
When you just finished cooking, it might taste softer. When pearl is hot or warm, it could taste soft but hardens in a cold drink.
It depends on personal preference. If you like it soft and chewy, cook and let it sit longer. After a couple of tries you would know the exact time. It's the beauty of DIY 😀
Why don't you carry fast cooking boba?
There are many fast cooking brands on the market. But we do not offer instant cooking Boba since 99% of them have chemicals and additives mixed in. In fact, we have not found any instant cooking Bobas that are made in Taiwan. Taiwan's FDA is very strict 😅
What ingredients I need to make the Taiwanese style pearl milk tea?
It depends on the kit of your choice upon order. You will need high quality Tapioca pearls and teas, milk and sugar.
What kind of milk can I use?
Actually many people use regular milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk... It all tastes great.
What's the shelf life for the Tapioca balls?
It's best consumed within three months upon received. For the remainder, you can seal it tight and store it in a cool dry place ( I put it in the cooler). It could last another couple of weeks. But normally, it will be long gone before then 😃
What's the shelf life for the tea?
It will last up to a year upon receiving. Please store it in a cool dry place to maintain the quality.
Can I cancel or make changes to my order?
You can cancel your order within 12 hours. Normally we wait 12 hours before we ship the first kit because some people might want to make changes to their orders. You can login to your account and make changes there.
Is your packaging eco-friendly?
All the materials we use for packaging are reusable or recyclable
How long for my order to be delivered?
According to the UPS/USPS it could take 3-5 business days to arrive, but with things the way they are now, we can not guarantee it.
What are the delivery days and times?
We are shipping by UPS and USPS depending on your region. The delivery days will be 3-5 business days according to them.
I did not received my package but the tracking said delivered. Is my package lost?
Maybe check to see if the shipping address was correct. Or, maybe ask your neighbors.
Give it another day. Sometimes, it said "In transit" but it was delivered. "Delivered" while still in transit. 😅

What are the delivery costs?
It depends on the kit of your choice, the shipping costs are different. But We strive to keep our cost competitive. We also pay part of shipping cost for each kit to keep the cost down. We try very hard to cut our cost in order to give our customers a better value.
